This fuel pump is a low pressure electric fuel pump. Very comonly used on older engines when machanical pumps are no longer available. Fuel injected engines by Crusader, volvo and pleasure craft use this pump to draw fuel from the tank and send it to the high pressure pump. Most all fuel infected engines have 2 fuel pumps, a high pressure and a low pressure.
